How To Register For Classes

The session runs one hour per week for four consecutive weeks and costs $175 for the session. Our positive dog training methods are pain-free, treat-free, and clicker-free. We DO NOT use shock collars, spray collars, or pronged collars. We will teach you a system of communication your dog instinctively knows.

Puppy Programs: Puppies 8 Weeks Old Up To 20 Weeks Old

$175 includes a 90 minute behavior consultation and the creation of a personalized training plan. After the initial session, single or 3-pack lessons are available for purchase through your trainer. ARL is now offering 1.5-hour private lesson at our Boston and Dedham location.

Treats, belly rubs, or other dog-pleasing actions are used to reinforce that a behavior was good. Tucker Pup's can also provide "turnkey training," where they train your dog while you are at work, then show you what they have been working on. Fun classes are a wonderful way to help your dog have an exciting outlet, plus refine its listening skills and self-control.

How To Train A Dog To Stay

Dogs are genetically wired to always have a job to do, so we prepare them for ‘work’ every day. The first dog training session will take about 2 to 3 hours. Following the first session, you will continue to build the right relationship between you and your dog by practicing for minutes a day. All dogs are not the same, so we vary our approach based on each dog's personality and temperament and what will work for that dog.

Only call when you're going to praise your dog - don't call your dog and then tell them off, as it means they will be less likely to come back next time you call. Run away a couple of paces then call your dog's name and say 'come' in a friendly, exciting tone - getting down low can also encourage them to come back.
